One thing I truly believe

Hoarding Steampunk #1

Just being inspired by steampunk at the moment... A style that generally looks like my favourite era (victorian) crossed with Back to the Future part 3; it is definatly more costume than fashion. Although I believe when steampunk comes to a statement piece I think it looks rather dramatic & is an edgy voice of style.

Here is a couple of steampunk pieces that I have made

Bird Cage Necklace

 Keys, Cogs and Locks

Steampunk jewelry is a must have for the budding fashionista & I will be hoarding cogs, sheets of copper, & anything out of my boyfriends' toolbox!

The Beginning

So, this is the beginning of my blog!

I have always wanted to create a blog, but in all honesty, I never had a subject to really blog about! So ya I could just go on about my day, but that would be boring since I do the same old every day. (sleep, work, study, sleep, see friends, study.) I have been thinking about dabbling in fashion blogs for quite some time, as I am an avid reader of many fashion blogs, but I do not like taking pictures of myself.

Here is the start of the blog about my current obsession... Lets talk trash

I am embracing the idea of using garbage to create beautiful things. My design process includes finding an unused object (probably an object destined for the garbage) and just letting my creative juices flow, and in no time I find myself analysing the material's merit, it's strengths and weaknesses and, most importantly, its aesthetic possibilities.

I have a passion for creating new out of the old; to renew any type of fabrics for clothes, deco and jewelry. I am very aware of the garbage I produce and I find that my creativity and appreciation of objects enables me to turn nothing into something useful.

My blog will catalog my creations from reusing materials and just thoughts about any ting and everything ECOfriendly. I want to promote creativity and recycling so we don't have to live in a garbage dump one day! Will my eco awareness have any positive affect of the environment? Probably not, but I just want to share my ideas on how to reuse old junk.
